Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Managing Director and CEO, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, announced that the installation rate of smart water meters in Dubai has reached 100%, with the number of smart water meters reaching over one million smart meters. Al Tayer stressed that the Authority will continue its efforts to develop its smart grid and advanced smart meter infrastructure to increase operational efficiency and manage facilities and services through intelligent and interconnected systems based on the latest disruptive technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and to achieve more savings for the Authority and customers. .
He added: “We are committed to achieving the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and promoting leadership, sustainability and growth based on innovation and future technological applications, in a way that improves Dubai’s competitiveness and its leadership position as a global center.
