Dubai: “People of the Gulf”
Inflation in Dubai rose to 3.85% in June from 3.81% last May, 12 due to higher spending and commodity prices.
According to data from the Dubai Statistics Center, the insurance and financial services group led increases of 8.4%, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 6.6% and transport by about 3.3%, while only the tobacco group fell by 3.63%. . .
On a monthly basis, the overall index rose by 0.28% last year, after contracting by around 0.24% last May.
Reasons for high inflation in Dubai
The reasons for the increase of around 6.9% in the entertainment, sports and culture group are food and beverages, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel, furniture and communications.
While restaurants and hotels, transportation, tobacco, insurance and financial services and personal care groups fell by around 1.3%. Three groups were established: clothing, health and education.
