Organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the 8th Dhaid Dates Festival celebrates the planting of palm trees in the UAE to help industry nurture cultural heritage. The Sharjah Department of Social Services is participating in the festival, which will be held from July 25 to 28 at Expo Al Dhaid, with the participation of many government agencies. The festival, in its eighth session, coincides with the wet season in the eastern region.

Regarding the participation, the Al Dhaid Social Association confirmed that the preparation for participation begins before its organization, which is considered one of the most important events in the Eastern Region, since the region is mainly dependent on agriculture, especially date cultivation, and is one. During the summer holidays, the festival includes an outing for the inhabitants of the region, and many recreational activities prepared for its visitors.

The department is involved with approximately 20 productive families who benefit from the department and members of the department’s “production” center from the department’s Al-Dhaid, Al-Bataeh, Al-Madam and Maliha branches, where families display their products. with dates and flavored sweets such as candies, date juice and popular dishes.
