The probe “Parker”, on its way to the sun, detects a strange radio signal from Venus

The American probe “Parker” during its last flight from Venus was so close to it that it entered the planet’s atmosphere. Amidst the data gathered, the scientists discovered a strange and unexpected radio signal.

According to a scientific study, this signal could help determine how Venus turned into a hot ball of gas, she revealed NASA agency On May 3, 2021.

Despite its similar size and structure to Earth, science still knows very little about Venus, because its “hostile” environment makes it extremely difficult to study, and so any information from it is interesting.

And when a scientific probe instrument called FIELDS captured seven minutes of natural radio signals, the blinds saw it as a mine of data about the planet.

Then the researchers compared the signals captured in the summer of 2020 to current data and data collected by NASA about 30 years ago, and came to a surprising conclusion: The size of Venus’ upper atmosphere changes according to the solar cycle.

These signals are not rare, as the probe Galileo discovered similar signals during its flight over the moons of Jupiter in 2003. For its part, the probe “Parker” will continue on its way and try to approach the sun.
