About 62 countries are participating in the largest tourism event of its kind since the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic.

“We welcome everyone to Dubai.”

This is the open invitation made by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as the Arab Travel Market 2021 began on Sunday.

About 62 countries are participating in the largest tourism event of its kind since the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic.

We welcome everyone to Dubai, as the world’s tourism boom begins. Here, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel that humanity has gone through during the past year and a half, “Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines and Group and President of Dubai World, officially inaugurated the 28th session of the event at the World Trade Center.

The exceptional response that the Arab Personal Travel Market has received this year from the international travel and tourism industry is testament to its confidence in Dubai’s ability to ensure the highest global standards of health and safety.

“This event elevates Dubai’s position not only as a safe destination for international industry events but also as a major player in shaping the future of the travel and tourism sector in the post-pandemic world.”

Held from May 16 to 19, this year’s fair features 1,300 exhibitors from 62 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Germany, Cyprus, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, the Maldives, the Philippines, Thailand, Mexico and the United States.

Under the theme “A New Dawn for Travel and Tourism”, Arab Travel Market 2021 is spread across nine halls at the Dubai World Trade Center. In line with current density restrictions and social distancing guidelines and regulations, there will be a maximum of 11,000 people in halls at any given time.

This event will once again play a key role in Arab Travel Week, a 10-day festival of travel and tourism events that are actually taking place in Dubai and online.
