Britain wants to press ahead with its environmental plans and encourage other countries to follow suit, before hosting the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in November.

It is scheduled to announce George Eustis, the British environment minister, on Tuesday, that afforestation rates will triple by May 2024, with the cultivation of about seven thousand hectares of forests annually, according to the site “rt”.

Britain’s climate official warned the chair of the United Nations Climate Change Conference, Alok Sharma, in Glasgow on Friday of the need for world leaders to agree to end the use of coal during the November summit to prevent a climate catastrophe.
