Subsequent examinations and entrance tests will take place despite the increase in COVID-19 cases in India.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India decided on Sunday that it will conduct board examinations for Grade 12 students.
And local media reported that the upcoming decision also applies to the subsequent entrance exams.
Exam dates will be announced on June 1.
The decision was made despite the massive rise in coronavirus cases in the country, and calls from some countries to cancel tests altogether.
Earlier this week, the board submitted three proposals proposing that the proposed tests be conducted twice this year, only for core subjects, or for shorter periods.
