The only Indian driver in GT4 European Championship Line-up network Achilles Rapendra hopes to finish the podium at the Paul Ricard Circuit, Le Castelet in France, this weekend from May 28-30, 2021. The 24-year-old has secured a place in Aston Martin Racing (AMR) driver academy for the third time Respectively this year.

Achilles will drive the Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4 with his 19-year-old fellow French, Hugo Conde, for the AGS Events Racing Team.

This will be the third time Achilles has raced at the Paul Ricard circuit. Prior to this race, he competed in the French FFSA GT the previous season where he and teammate Vannelet made a strong comeback as he finished P6 in the Pro-Am category and overall P10 position in the second race while their P9 finished in the category in the first race.

At the 2019 European GT4 European Championships Achilles alongside his teammate Florian Touma managed to finish the race in P4 but a late penalty kick put them in P15 overall. Later on, the duo scored an impressive time and were able to finish the race at P5 in the qualifiers and P7 in the second race.

“The track has an interesting mix of fast and slow speed corners. The competition is definitely going to be higher and a lot will depend on our driving. I’m really looking forward to getting back on the track with AGS Events Racing,” Achilles stated after the race weekend.
