Today, the Egyptian writer and journalist Mari Madkour died of his infection with the emerging corona virus (Covid 19).
Madkour’s body is scheduled to be buried in his family’s cemetery in his hometown in Minya governorate, according to the Al-Ahram Gate news site.
The deceased was a professor of media at Al-Azhar University, and held many academic and executive positions, as he held the Deanship of the Faculty of Mass Communication at 6 October University.
He enriched the Arab Library with remarkable contributions, the most important of which is a short story collection entitled “Alia Al Maqam”, issued by the General Book Authority during the past year.
