The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Libya, Najla Al-Mankush.

During the meeting, which took place at the General Court of the Ministry in Abu Dhabi, they discussed the established fraternal relations between the UAE and Libya, as well as ways to strengthen and develop them.

Both sides also considered the evolution of the situation in the Libyan arena and the importance of supporting the Government of National Unity during its leadership of the transition phase and preparation for the elections scheduled for December 2021.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of Najla Al-Mankush, emphasizing the depth of the fraternal relations between the UAE and Libya and the desire to strengthen and develop them for the benefit of the peoples of the two fraternal countries.

His Highness indicated that the UAE supports all sincere efforts and efforts that lead to a secure, stable and prosperous Libya, and always supports the brotherly Libyan people in pursuing their aspirations for stability, development and prosperity.

His Highness praised the efforts made by the Libyan National Unity Government during its leadership at this stage, and what it is doing to strengthen the foundations of security and stability in Libya, as well as to create all the appropriate conditions for the elections scheduled for next December. …
