IN former president of the United States released a video message to his supporters, in which he thanked them for the “love and affection” shown to him after he left the White House. In his address, Trump appears to be hinting at a return to politics, stating that the GOP will be “much stronger than it is now.”

He said, “I want to thank everyone for the tremendous support you have given.

“We’re going to bring back the Senate and bring back the House, we’re going to bring back the White House, and sooner than you think, this is going to be really special.

“But the love, affection and respect you have shown to all of us are really important.

“The Republican Party is stronger than ever and will be much stronger than it is now.

“We’re going to change that. We’re going to fix this quickly. Thank you all, this support has been incredible. Thank you.”

This came after the Republican spoke out against the policies of President Joe Biden during his first speech in three months.

Speaking Saturday night at the Greenville Convention Center in North Carolina, the former president blamed Biden for destroying the United States.

Mr Trump strongly condemned the Biden administration’s stance on illegal immigration, gas prices and cybersecurity.

He said, “When we gather tonight, our country is crumbling before our eyes. Crime is on the rise, police departments are ripping apart and protecting, you can believe it. Is this a good policy to justify our police?

“Look at our border, it is wide open. Illegal immigration is growing rapidly to an unprecedented level, and this is within a few months.

“Drugs will rush, gas prices are rising, our industry is being plundered by foreign cyberattacks.”

During his speech, Trump also mentioned the theory of a coronavirus leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology – a controversial claim that the then president first made public last year when the virus emerged.
