Arsenal are close to finalizing the sale of Granit Jaka to Roma, and Chris Wheatley of Football.London said the Gunners will receive a midfielder fee ranging from € 18 million to € 20 million.
Wheatley, Arsenal’s chief reporter for Football.London, adds that Jaka has already negotiated a five-year deal with the Serie A side and that the deal will be formalized “very soon.”
Xhaka was recruited by the Gunners in the summer of 2016, shortly before the start of the Euro, when a team from North London pledged £ 35m for the Swiss star, BBC Sport reported.
Arsenal, of course, are now losing heavily to the central midfielder, but given the harsh criticism of Jacqui during his performance at the Emirates, they earned a good amount of about 20 million euros.
Mikel Arteta will hope that the club’s conflicting hierarchy will allow him to fully invest from the imminent sale of Xhaka into a new midfield partner for Thomas Partey.
Granit Xhaka has signed a five-year contract with Roma.
The commission is expected to be around 18-20 million euros.
Very soon he will become a Roma player. ? #AFC

José Mourinho clearly values Jaco very highly as he is about to make him his first signing at Roma and the Portuguese just took over the Italian side shortly after he left Spurs.
Although Jaka has largely fallen short of expectations and has been heavily criticized over the years, the midfielder has retained a key role for Arsenal for most of his time at the club.
The only real spell for Jaki from the team came from the shock of being stripped of the captain after the Swiss player swore at the team’s own fans.
Given the key role played by Jaka, Artete ideally need to hire someone who is ready to jump into the game immediately, and the Gunners need to establish a certain rhythm in midfield as soon as possible.
Jacqui certainly has what it takes to strengthen Roma’s 7th finish last season, the 28-year-old has a chance to rebuild himself as a quality player away from pressure from Arsenal.
