Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India did a full workout at Ageas Bowl on Wednesday. This was the team’s first group training session in which the players trained very intensely. Indian cricketers have been under tight quarantine for three days since arriving in Southampton on June 3 before being allowed to train in small groups. The players trained with Dukes balls to be used in the WTC Finals and then in a series of five matches against England. BCCI posted a short video clip of the entire training session on its official Twitter on Thursday.

Indian captain Virat Koli, as always, looked graceful and confident in the nets at Ageas Bowl. He was seen walking on the ground wearing a mask. Players like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahan had a good time with the nets on Wednesday.

All fast bowlers – Jasprit Bumra, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj were spotted in the net. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and spinner on Ravindra Jadej’s left arm also rolled their hands. Bats goalkeeper Rishab Pant looked aggressive, hitting the nets. Particular attention was paid to fishing with sliding closer to the end of the session with nets.

India will face New Zealand in the final of the ICC Testing World Championship at the same venue starting June 18th.
