Chelsea are ready to allow Arsenal to sign Tammy Abraham to a first lease, according to reports.

The Champions League holders are actively looking to sell Abraham this summer but are awaiting a £40m transfer fee.

West Ham and Aston Villa both showed interest early on in the window, and Abraham understood that he was open to a move to either club.

But last week reports claimed that Arsenal were also in the running to sign Abraham, who is a Gunners boys fan and idolized Thierry Henry growing up.

Chelsea’s £40m valuation could prove difficult for Arsenal, who will have to shorten their roster even further to accommodate more big signings.

And according to The Sun, Chelsea’s hierarchy has now agreed to loan Abraham Stamford Bridge this summer, but will take on a £40m purchase commitment if the striker reaches a certain number of appearances.

Chelsea are keen to fire Abraham to bring a new striker to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Erling Haaland is Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s first target, but Borussia Dortmund firmly believe the 21-year-old will be with them for at least one more season.

Speaking to Bild earlier this month, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said of Haaland: “Nothing has changed.

‘We are still making plans with Erling for the new season.’
