According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, Domenico Berardi’s performance at Euro 2020 has left both Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund considering a move for the Italian forward. The 26-year-old has played his entire career with Sassuolo, making 291 appearances since his debut for the club.
Following Italy’s sensational victory at Euro 2020, more than a few stars of Roberto Mancini’s team have been linked with a move. The likes of Nicolo Barella, Manuel Locatelli, Leonardo Spinazzola and a few others have all been on many shortlists with some of Europe’s best clubs raving about an impressive tournament of the Azzurri. While no move has been made so far, reports have indicated that Domenico Berardi is last on the list of transfer rumours.
The 26-year-old flourished for Sassuolo during the 2020/21 season with 25 goals in 30 league appearances and it saw him become a mainstay for Italy at Euro 2020. But while he only contributed two goals, Berardi’s performances have seen him. impress a few clubs. It has been seen that transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla reports that the 26-year-old is on the Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund shortlists.
However, they are not the only clubs interested, with Lazio, AC Milan and even West Ham United all looking to step ahead of the attacker as well. That comes after reports have indicated that Sassuolo expects a €40m fee for Berardi, although Chelsea are also looking at Federico Chiesa. But with Juventus unwilling to sell the former Fiorentina star, the Blues are looking to Berardi as an option.
