The death toll from the floods that ravaged central China has risen to 33, while 8 people are still missing.
And China’s “Xinhua” news agency quoted the disaster relief authority of central China’s Henan province that the torrential rains affected about 3 million people and transferred 376,000 local residents to safe places.
According to the agency, the stormwater has destroyed more than 215,200 hectares of crops, causing a direct economic loss of 1.22 billion yuan (188.6 million US dollars).
