Xtra Time Web Desk: Good news for the Indian team as wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant joined the rest of the squad in Durham on Thursday. Pant was in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 during the break after the World Test Championship. He is isolated at a relative’s house in London. He has now fully recovered and has joined the squad.

Pant has already missed the ongoing three-day exhibition game against the Select County XI team. But according to the sources in the team, if he is declared fit, he will definitely play the 2nd exhibition game. The Indian team will play an intra-selection match at the same location from July 28. It will be important for the dashing wicketkeeper batsman to do some match practice en route to the first Test against England, which starts in Nottingham from 4 August.
