According to The Athletic, Liverpool have identified West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen as a potential asset to bolster their attack for the new season. Bowen has established himself as a key figure on the right side for David Moyes’ side, scoring 18 goals in 58 appearances for the club.
Jarred Bowen has put himself on Liverpool’s radar after sensational performances with West Ham. After joining the Hammers from Hull City 18 months ago, for an initial fee of £18million plus a further £7million in add-ons, Bowen has established himself as a key figure in the West Ham team that will take them to a top. -five-finish leads under the tutelage of David Moyes.
That has impressed more than a few clubs and the Athletic have reported that the highly regarded West Ham forward would be on Liverpool’s shortlist. The Anfield side are reportedly looking to bolster their squad as Jurgen Klopp’s side look to challenge every trophy possible. The report has indicated that Liverpool are in the market to fully bolster their team but especially their front line as Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri both leave Anfield with the duo strongly linked with a move.
Following Georginho Winjandlum’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool are looking to make headway in the transfer market to win back the Premier League trophy from Manchester City. It is also claimed that Liverpool see Bowen as a player with ‘huge potential’ who could provide strong competition on the attack. The Reds have already struck a £36m deal to sign Ibrahima Konate and while nothing has been confirmed, Jarred Bowen looks likely to be the next addition to the Reds’ roster.
