LOU BOUDREAU WAS THE GREATEST INDIANS SHORT STOP EVER

Boudreau’s 1948 MVP season was spectacular as he batted .355 and had an OPS of .987. He also led the Indians to their second and final World Series title. Boudreau was not only a great batter, but he was also excellent in defense. In 1944 he led the AL in assists and in ’40, ’43, ’44, ’47, ’48 he led the league in doubles turning. He was one of the best two-way players of his time, and his overall body of work on both sides of the field makes him the best shortstop in Cleveland Indians history.
