Saudi Arabia loses to Ivory Coast at Tokyo Olympics

The Saudi national team lost to Ivory Coast 1-2 in the match that brought them together today, Thursday, in the first round of the fourth group competitions in the men’s football competition at the Tokyo Olympics.

The Ivorian team advanced with a goal scored by Saudi national team player Abdelilah Al-Omari in the 39th minute, and the Saudi team tied the score with a goal by Salem Al-Dosari in the 44th minute, before Frank Casey scored the second goal for the Ivorian team in the 66th minute.

In the seventh minute of stoppage time, Ivorian player Aboubacar Doumbia was shown a red card.

The Ivorian team won the first three points in the tournament, while the Saudi team was left without credit.

Later in the day, the Brazilian national team will meet its German counterpart in the same group.

The Saudi team will meet its German counterpart in the next round next Sunday, while the Ivorian team will meet its Brazilian counterpart on the same day.
