The Egyptian Olympic football team imposed a goalless draw against its Spanish counterpart in the match that brought them together today, Thursday, at the opening of the third group matches of the Tokyo Olympics.

Spain’s “Matador” failed to break into Egypt’s defensive fortresses over the course of 90 minutes, and coach Shawky Gharib’s sons excelled at keeping the Spanish efforts away.

Each team gets one point after this draw.

And later play in the same group (third) Australia with Argentina.

The Egyptian team will qualify for the quarter-finals if it occupies one of the first or second places in Group C.
