TOKYO – A pair of Yeezy 350 V2s will pay for itself quite a bit.
However, if the Philippines win gold at the Tokyo Olympics, this particular black pair might cost just a little more.
The President of the Philippine Olympic Committee, Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, wore a pair of Yeezys here, one hand-printed by his daughter, Tagaytay City Councilor Athena Tolentino.
“This was her design and she painted this herself,” Tolentino said.
The design features a sun with rays spanning the colors red and blue. It is painted on the outside of each shoe.
Tolentino will wear the shoe, which sells a staggering P30,000, while supporting Filipino athletes here. And if the eye-catching couple becomes a mute witness to a golden achievement, there will be a bit of historical value attached to it.
