Left-handed batter, Alastair Nathan Cook, was part of the England cricket team in Test Cricket in 2016. Cook went on to score 1270 runs from 33 innings out of 17 games he played in the year with an average of 42+. His scores include 7 fifties and 2 hundreds; Cook’s 130 against the Indian cricket team at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot was his best score of the year in the longest run of international cricket. Yorkshire right-handed wicket-keeper Batter, Jonathan Marc Bairstow, was part of the England cricket team in Test Cricket in 2016. Bairstow would score 1470 runs from 29 innings out of the 17 games he played in the year at a 58+ average. His scores include 8 fifties and 3 hundreds; Bairstow’s 167 not out against Sri Lanka Cricket team at the Lord’s, London was his best score of the year in the longest run of international cricket. With these runs, Jonny Bairstow reached the top 5 of most test runs in 2016.

The right-handed batter, Joseph Edward Root, was part of the England cricket team in Test Cricket in 2016. Root would score 1,477 runs from 32 innings of the 17 games he played in the year with an average touch under 50. His scores include 10 fifties and 3 hundreds; Root‘s 254 not out against Pakistan at Old Trafford, Manchester was his best score of the year in the longest run of international cricket. With these runs, Joe Root entered the top 5 of most Test runs in 2016, as he also became the highest runscoring batter for England.
