GREG MADDUX HAS PLACED A VINTAGE COMPLETE GAME IN JUST 77 PITCHES

Against his former team, Greg Maddux faced net 31 batters in the afternoon, struckout six and allowed only one runner to cross home plate. En route to Atlanta’s seemingly effortless 4-1 win, Maddux threw only 76 pitches so that Wrigley Field fans could quickly leave the stadium after about two hours and seven minutes of play (average time per game of nine innings was about three hours). The HOFer and its incredibly accurate circle turn were captured in Cooperstown in the class of 2016.
