The Paris prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday that the jewelry house Chaumet near the Champs Elysées in the center of the French capital has been the victim of an armed robbery.

The Public Prosecution Service has announced that it has opened an investigation into the incident. He has not confirmed initial estimates of the jewelry looted from the house.

And it was reported that jewelry worth about two million euros had been stolen. The newspaper “Le Parisien” reported that a man on a scooter arrived at the house and threatened his weapon inside as the store opened in the afternoon, before fleeing again on his bicycle.

One of the oldest jewelry brands in France, Maison Chaumet is owned by the luxury goods group LVMH.
