The positive two-goal draw overshadowed the friendly between Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain today, Tuesday, at the Algarve Stadium in the Portuguese city of Faro, as part of the two teams’ preparations for the new season.
The Andalusian team ended the first 45 minutes with a goal by Croatian star Ivan Rakitic from a penalty kick in the 40th minute.

With the start of the second half, the Paris team managed to return to the game with a draw, signed by the experienced Argentine star Mauro Icardi.

But Sevilla took the lead again in the 62nd minute via young midfielder Oscar Rodriguez.

As the game drew to a close, promising striker Kenny Nagera scored the equalizing goal for PSG in the 88th minute.

This is the French team’s fifth and final game in the preparation period for the start of the season as it faces Lille for the French Super Cup title next Sunday, while the first game will be in the “Liga A”, which it lost to Lille last season, on August 7 next to the bases for Troyes.

As for Sevilla, it will end its friendlies against Aston Villa on the 7th of next month, before starting its “La Liga” matches at its home port against Rayo Vallecano in the middle of the same month.
