The football federation announced in a press conference at its headquarters in Dubai, along with its counterpart the Sudanese football federation, the details of hosting the Sudanese national team camp in the Emirates, which starts in Dubai from 20 this month. upcoming appearance in the African Nations qualifiers for the World Cup, as well as his participation in the Arab Cup.
During the camp in Dubai, the Sudanese team will play two friendlies against Niger on 22 and 26 this month at the Al-Nasr Club stadiums in Dubai, at the level of the African Nations Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
For his part, the Secretary General of the Football Association, Mohammed bin Hazam, emphasized at the conference that “the hosting of the Sudanese national team camp by the Football Association is an implementation of the guidelines of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister- President and Minister of Presidential Affairs, in the context of strengthening and developing the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, the Emirates and Sudan.
He said: “They will provide all the requirements related to the Sudanese national team camp in the UAE, in order to get the maximum technical advantage from this camp, in preparation for the benefits to come.”
The Secretary General of the Football Association, Mohammed bin Hazam, noted the great impression left by the Sudanese players who previously played in the UAE league, and clearly contributed to the development of Emirati football nearly 50 years ago.
Mohammed bin Hazam said: “By organizing the expected Sudanese team camp, we are trying to repeat the scenario of the great success achieved by the Sudanese summit, represented by the Al Hilal and Al Merreikh clubs, which was held at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi in 2018.”
Bin Hazam continued: “We have provided all the requirements requested by the Sudanese mission, be it special stadiums, training sessions and friendly matches that he will play during the camp, in addition to establishing a health protocol for the presence of members of the Sudanese mission in the country to ensure their safety.”
In turn, the Vice-President of the Sudanese Football Federation, Hassan Bargo, praised the great support that the Sudanese team has received and thanked His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his guidance to meet all the requirements that the Sudanese team needs. during his upcoming camp in the country.
He added: “The Sudanese team will benefit immensely from the upcoming camp in every way, especially in terms of good preparation for the benefits, be it qualifying for the 2022 World Cup or the Arab Cup.”
Hassan Bargo confirmed that the choice of Dubai as the headquarters for the Sudanese team camp was intended to provide good preparation for the “Golden Falcons” team, the Sudanese national team, led by French coach Hubert Velud.
