MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An officer in west central Minnesota found himself in a very crazy situation on Monday.
According to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, an officer says a squirrel jumped out from under his patrol car’s computer, jumped onto the dashboard and “quickly glanced down at him.” The rodent then ran across the driver’s side window before disappearing behind the officer.

The officer stopped to examine it, and instead of finding the squirrel, he found dozens and dozens of nuts the animal had stored near the team’s rear hatch in preparation for the long Minnesota winter.
“These notes have now been posted as evidence,” the sheriff’s office wrote. “If anyone sees a squirrel searching for its food, we are looking for the squirrel for questioning in connection with this incident.”
