Indian striker Ishan Pandita, who made his debut in the Indian Super League for FC Goa last season, has said goodbye to the club for the new season. However, the footballer, who also scored 4 goals in nine games for the Gaurs last season, has yet to decide on his next destination.
FC Goa can confirm that Ishan Pandita has completed a transfer at the club after the Gaurs agreed to an undisclosed transfer fee.
The 23-year-old is leaving the Gaurs after a season at the club. His only season with FC Goa saw him score 4 goals in 9 appearances in the Hero Indian Super League. He played a further 6 matches in the AFC Champions League in which he failed to get behind the net.
Speaking of the departure, football director Ravi Puskur said: “Ishan has informed the club over the summer that he would like to explore other options, taking into account his personal growth.
“When the other club expressed their interest with an appropriate proposal, we felt it was in the best interests of all parties involved to accept the offer, especially taking into account Ishan’s desire to continue to pursue more playing time.
“As a club we have always encouraged opportunities for young people and also in the case of Ishan we have adhered to the same principle. Everyone at FC Goa wants to wish Ishan all the best for his future.”
