Ronaldo shared his excitement about making a return to Old Trafford. The Premier League tweeted the Portuguese superstar’s official signing.
“Manchester United are a club that has always held a special place in my heart and I have been overwhelmed by all the messages I have received since the announcement on Friday. I can’t wait to play at Old Trafford in front of a packed stadium and all the fans I look forward to joining the team after the international matches and I hope we have a very successful season,” Ronaldo said on the club’s official website.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is delighted to see Ronaldo’s back at Old Trafford.
According to Solskjaer: “You are out of words to describe Cristiano. He is not only a great player, but also a great person. To have the desire and ability to play at the highest level for such a long period of time takes a very special person. I have no doubt that he will continue to impress us and his experience will be so important to the younger players in the squad. Ronaldo’s return demonstrates the unique appeal of this club and I am absolutely delighted to see him return to the place where it all began.”
