Twitter reactions and highlights from Jake Paul’s split-decision victory over Tyron Woodley

Both Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley spoke about knocking each other out leading up to their fight Sunday night in Cleveland.

But that didn’t happen for either fighter. Instead, the fight went the distance and Paul got the victory over the former UFC welterweight champion via a split decision.

Paul entered the fight as the favorite, thanks to his size advantage and he was able to remain strong for all eight rounds of the fight. It’s a big win for his resume but when you look at the numbers you’ll see the fight itself was pretty rough.

Here are the final numbers from the fight, which was held in front of an ELECTRIC crowd:

Jake Paul showed he has toughness and won’t quit! Tyron wasn’t active enough, not a bad fight tho. It was activity! Paul was exhausted and when guys are that tired gotta show em the door. Whatever man. Dammit Tyron

According to the broadcast, only three rounds had unanimous scoring from the three judges. Scorecards all over the place. #BoxingThings #PaulWoodley

Tyron Woodley remains one of the most frustrating fighters ever to watch. #PaulWoodley

Woodley demanding a rematch. Stop that. I watched this. I have no interest in a rematch whatsoever. Woodley won one round legit, maybe 2-3 max. Stop that. #boxing #PaulWoodley

In a fight that generated huge interest but very few meaningful shots a tiring Jake Paul has beaten a smaller, punch-shy Tyron Woodley 78-74 77-75 75-77 (the card for Woodley is highly questionable). Per their bet Woodley now needs to get an “I love Jake Paul” tattoo #PaulWoodley
