The championship newspaper reported that thieves returned two Olympic medals stolen two weeks ago from the home of Russian Olympic champion Yelena Vesnina on the outskirts of Moscow.

The thieves placed the two Olympic medals (gold and silver) at the barrier at the entrance to the village where Vesnina lives on the outskirts of the Russian capital.

The thieves attached the two medals to an apology letter and a box of candy.

According to the newspaper “Kamsamolskaya Pravda”, Vesnina has not yet received her medals, because the police are detaining them as part of the investigation.
