A joint drug seizure between Tasmanian police, AFP and Australian border forces uncovered $4.5 million in ice

Tasmanian police seized 3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, valued at about $4.5 million, after raids on property in the northern Hobart suburb of Glenorchy, yesterday.

The drug investigation is a joint operation of the Tasmanian Police, the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Border Force.

Police said 3 kilograms of ice would be enough for up to 30,000 individual drug deals.

Two men, aged 51 and 58, have been arrested and will appear in Hobart Magistrates Court later today.

More is coming.
