Air New Zealand is introducing a ‘No Jab, No Fly’ Covid-19 policy for international travelers, the company has announced, which will come into effect from February.
Mandating vaccination on our international flights gives both customers and employees the peace of mind that everyone on board has the same health requirements as they do,” said CEO Greg Foran said in a statement Sunday.
Passengers who have not been vaccinated would have to demonstrate that vaccination was not a viable option for them for medical or other reasons.
“As with everything, there will be some who will disagree. However, we know it is the right thing to do to protect our people, our customers and the wider New Zealand community,” said Mr Foran.
The country’s border has been closed to everyone except residents and citizens since March last year, with a few exceptions.
