Australian NFL star Jordan Mailata will miss the Philadelphia Eagles for the second consecutive week.
The former South Sydney prospect missed the Eagles’ game with the Dallas Cowboys last week and has failed to recover in time for this week’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 24-year-old is still recovering from a knee injury he sustained in the run-up to the game against Dallas, which the Eagles lost 41-21.
Both the Eagles and Chiefs, somewhat surprisingly given their last two Super Bowl appearances, are currently 1-2 of their first three games, meaning the clash has become an important one for both teams.

There is currently no timeline on Mailata’s return to the team, but coach Nick Sirianni hoped it would be sooner rather than later.
Therefore, instead of stripping down for the Eagles this week, he can watch the NRL Grand Final, which takes place hours before Sunday’s NFL games.
“Good luck this Sunday when you go out, I’ll be watching,” he said in a video posted on social media. “It’s going to be very early here, but I think it’s great to still be repeating the Bunnies colors here and still be watching you guys.”
