Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino has admitted the suffering of his Spanish player Sergio Ramos with the team.
Ramos came to the French capital on a free transfer last summer after his contract with Real Madrid expired.
Ramos has not played with Paris Saint-Germain since the deal was finalized due to a muscle injury he sustained in pre-season.
The former French champion is preparing for Rennes at Roisson Park on Sunday afternoon, in the ninth round of the local competition.
“Ramos is not yet integrated into the group, which is normal because of his absence from group training,” Pochettino said at a press conference before the game.
He added: “Ramos suffered an injury and has been satisfied with physical and individual training in recent times, and it is clear that he needs to integrate with the rest of the players.”
He concluded by saying: “In general, I don’t have a crisis in this area. Ramos was the captain of a team as big as Real Madrid and he is certainly able to overcome that period.”
