On October 2, former Van Halen singer David Lee Roth announced his surprise retirement Las Vegas Review Journal’s John Katsilometes. The singer named his concert career after his last performance at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay on New Year’s Eve.
David went on to say that he will be giving five shows on December 31, January 1, and January 7-8. Roth’s music career spans more than 50 years (since 1972).
The rock star said:
“I’m throwing in my shoes. I’m retiring… I’m not going to explain the statement. The statement is in a safe. These are my last five shows.”
David Lee Roth ended his thoughts on his retirement. He said,
“I gave you everything I have to give. It was a great, great run, no regrets, nothing to say about anyone. I will miss you all. Stay frosty.”
