After SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) chose to bat first, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) put up 115 runs for the loss of 8 wickets vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 49 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Kolkata bowlers put in a great performance with the ball as everyone except Sunil Narine got wickets. However, Narine was the most economical bowler, giving away just 12 runs from his four overs. For SunRisers, skipper Kane Williamson (26) scored the highest score and in the middle-overs there was a brief collaboration between Priyam Garg (21) and Abdul Samad (25). KKR needs 116 runs to win, but it will all depend on how their batters fare in the chase. Kolkata is one of the four teams with 10 points. Hyderabad is at the bottom of the points list and out of the tournament, having won just two of their 11 games this season. KKR is fourth in the points table. (LIVE SCORING CARD)

    Must-Win Game for KKR!

Both teams lost their last matches, Kolkata Knight Riders lost to Punjab Kings in a close encounter, while SunRisers Hyderabad saw a 6-wicket loss against Chennai Super Kings, where MS Dhoni’s last ball six made headlines. They both faced failed at bats as their mid-level squad hasn’t done much since the season resumed in the UAE. KKR skipper Eoin Morgan has had a poor run with the ball so far this season as SRH dropped their former skipper David Warner and brought in England opener Jason Roy in the squad that performed well against Rajasthan Royals. This is a game you have to win for KKR when you consider the playoff scenarios. SunRisers have nothing to lose as they are already out of the tournament, but they will be keeping an eye on individual performance ahead of next year’s mega auction.
