Algeria bans its airspace for Operation “Barkhane” aircraft

The crisis between Algiers and Paris is growing. According to information collected by Le Figaro in Algiers and Paris, France no longer has the right to fly its military aircraft over Algerian territory – which it did as part of Operation Barkhane to reach northern Mali.

The staff of the French armies discovered the news Sunday morning. By submitting the flight plans, the soldiers realized that the overflight authorizations had not been granted by Algiers. However, no official notification has been received, it is said. Anyway, two logistics flights had to be postponed.
