Choco Mucho falls from Thais, takes on Rebisco in classification round

MANILA, Philippines – Team Choco Mucho took another straight-set loss, this time at the hands of powerhouse Supreme Chonburi, 25-13, 25-22, 25-21, in the quarter-finals of the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship Monday in Terminal 21 Hall in Thailand.

Team Choco Mucho dropped its third consecutive game, but not after a commendable performance led by Kalei Mau.

Mau finished with 16 points, while Mylene Paat added 14.

Due to the loss, Choco Mucho was relegated in the classification phase from fifth to seventh place where it will face Team Rebisco on Wednesday.

Previously, Rebisco lost to Nakhon Ratchasima QminC, 25-11, 25-19, 25-18, in their quarterfinals.

The two Thai teams Supreme Chonburi and Nakhon Ratchasima QminC also arranged a showdown in the semifinals on Wednesday.
