Backstage update on when Natalya and Tamina got behind the WWE Draft split

Natalya and Tamina got divorced after the 2021 WWE Draft and when they found out it happened is very interesting.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Natalya and Tamina did not know beforehand that they would be separated in the WWE Draft. This is a real shame as the company has to do its best to inform tag teams in advance that they will be separated.

The DNA of women’s wrestling.
The root of greatness.
The most winning woman in the history of sports entertainment.
A three-time crown champion.
Raw was great, but I’m bleeding BLUE.
Until Friday!

While this year’s WWE Draft doesn’t officially go into effect until October 22, last night’s episode of RAW may well be the last time the WWE universe will see the WWE universe team up with Natalya and Tamina for the foreseeable future.

Natalya reflects on her tag team with Tamina after the WWE Draft

Natalya and Tamina had quite a long reign as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. It seems Natalya was enjoying the run as she responded to a member of the WWE universe who was saddened by the fact that the tag team had been split in the WWE Draft.

“I loved being on a team with @TaminaSnuka. We were the second longest reigning Women’s Tag Team Champs in @WWE and we made history at #WrestleMania 37, as the first women to have two matches at WM I am so proud of us and grateful for that special time,” Natalya tweeted.

Nataya and Tamina were not the only women’s tag team to split in the 2021 WWE Draft, as Shotzi and Tegan Nox’s team also disbanded. Shotzi remains on SmackDown because Nox has been moved to RAW.

Currently, the champions themselves, Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley, are the only active women’s tag team on the WWE roster.
