The preseason game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Memphis Grizzlies, one of four games on Tuesday’s slate, was halted at the end of the third quarter.
if according to the Grizzlies, a sprinkler was accidentally activated in a non-public area. Although their update stated that the issue was being worked on, the long delay eventually led to a suspension after the league consulted with both teams.
At the time of suspension, the Grizzlies were leading 87-77, led by an entertaining 27 points from Ja Morant.
The young guard also recorded six rebounds and four assists on 11-for-18 shots from the field in just 24 minutes of action. His performance included a few nasty dunks.
Kiwi center Steven Adams, in his debut for the Grizzlies, finished with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds along with his three assists.
Although they are still a quarter behind 10, it is important to remember that the Bucks were fit for this game with almost every major rotation player – Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Bobby Portis, Rodney Hood, Donte DiVincenzo and Semi Ojeleye equipped.
That resulted in Milwaukee with a starting lineup of George Hill, Grayson Allen, Brook Lopez, Jordan Nwora and Thanasis Antetokounmpo. Of those five, Nwora scored 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
