(MENAFN- Khaberni) Khaberni – A British press release today, Tuesday, revealed the truth of the requests from Liverpool star Egyptian Mohamed Salah to extend his contract with the Reds.
Salah’s current contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2023.
And according to British newspaper The Sun, initial reports that Salah asked for a £500,000 weekly salary to agree to the extension are false.
And the British newspaper pointed out that Salah’s requests range from £300 to £380,000 a week, which will make him the highest salary in Liverpool.
And “Sun” indicated that Salah also stipulates that his new contract with Liverpool will only run until 2025.
And the newspaper revealed that extension negotiations between Salah and Liverpool are still ongoing, despite the recent statement by Reds coach Jurgen Klopp that he knows nothing about the Egyptian player’s talks with the club over the new contract.
Remarkably, Salah currently receives a weekly salary of £200,000, making him the second highest paid player in Liverpool after Virgil van Dijk (£235,000 a week).
