DUBAI, 5 November / WAM / Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and member of the Dubai Council, inaugurated the first personal exhibition organized by the Dubai Collections Initiative entitled “When Pictures Speak”: the most prominent works of art selected from the Dubai collection, where the exhibition is scheduled to begin receiving visitors from tomorrow, Saturday.
During the opening, Her Highness met with a number of members of the steering group of the Dubai Collectibles Initiative, including His Excellency Mohammed Al Murr, Abdul Moneim bin Issa Al Sarkal and Mona Issa Al Gurg, as well as a number of members of the Technical Evaluation Committee, including Mona Faisal Al Gurg, chairman of the residents’ committee, Benedita Ghion and Hala Khayat from Art Dubai, and Carlo Rizzo, special adviser to Dubai Collections, where Her Highness discussed the initiative’s message and hope for its long-term development, and Her Highness was briefed on the initiative’s recently launched digital museum.
On this occasion, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed confirmed that the interest of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and his will to be first supporter of the “Dubai Collectibles” initiative and fans of its goals, was the foundation and mainstay of the initiative’s success, and expressed its deep pride in Hans Højhed’s contribution to the largest share of the works of art participating in this first present exhibition of Hans Højhed’s collections.

Abdel Moneim bin Issa Al Sarkal, founder of the creative district on Alserkal Avenue and a member of the steering committee of the Dubai Collectibles initiative, expressed his pride in working with committee members and taking them on a journey of appreciation for art and the acquisition of works of art. and his ambition to help pave an inspiring path for this initiative. The exhibition “When Pictures Speak” includes the most prominent works of art selected from Dubai Collections.
