No Way Home ‘teases villains from previous franchises

It’s going to be hard to catch these evil guys “like flies.”

Sony Pictures has just dropped the latest trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, which reportedly will feature a killer series of classic villains from before the Marvel Cinematic Universe was created.

“They’re starting to get through, I can’t stop them,” says Dr. Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) in the epic three-minute preview of the film, which hits theaters on December 17th.

As depicted in the now viral trailer with nearly 25 million views overnight, “No Way Home” picks up the baton from the previous Marvel movie where the identity of Spider-Man (Tom Holland) is revealed. This causes the web-slinger to seek help from Dr. Strange who enchants a la the neuralizer from “Men in Black” to make people forget who he is.

Unfortunately, thanks to a multiverse accident, a killer series of scoundrels from previous Spider-Man franchises show up, including Willem Dafoe’s backstage-swallowing Green Goblin from “Spider-Man” and “Spider-Man 2’s” Dr. Octopus, played by Alfred Molina.
