Apple’s venerable iPad dominates the tablet scene. And while many buyers continue to zigzag in the direction of an iPad, there are a few reasons why you might zag and pick an Android or Windows tablet instead. Maybe you are looking for an affordable tablet to wrap and put under the tree this year for your child. If you are using an Android phone, it makes a lot of sense to get a tablet on the same platform. And do not forget about Windows tablets, which are well suited for bridging the gap between work and home.
Withseason with offers above us, it’s a great time to take on tablet shopping. Many retailers have started rolling out Black Friday discounts, while others have for sales to start closer to the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 26th. Keep this page saved to keep track of the best tablet deals this month from Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart and others.
Best tablet deals right now
There are few discounts on Apple’s more affordable iPads. The best deal we see is a $ 50 discount on the latest iPad Air. Premium Android tablets from Lenovo and Samsung are also for sale along with a more affordable tablet from Lenovo.

Samsung’s premium 11-inch tablet is currently discounted by $ 151 at Amazon. It can act as a powerful Android tablet or can function more like a PC in DeX mode, which is a blessing for both getting the job done and playing. The discount only applies to the 128GB model in black, and the keyboard cover is sold separately.

Lenovo’s premium Android tablet boasts an 11.5-inch OLED screen. Its aluminum alloy contains four JBL speakers optimized for Dolby Atmos sound. Inside, you get a Qualcomm SnapDragon 730G that is made for improved gaming performance compared to the standard 730 chip. Like the Samsung tablet above, purchase the keyboard separately for the Tab P11 Pro.
It’s a generation behind the Surface Pro 8 that came with Windows 11 last month, but the Surface Pro 7 remains a great two-in-one tablet. This Surface Pro 7 model is $ 199 off Amazon and runs on a 10th generation Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The 12.3-inch touch screen has a sharp resolution of 2,736 x 1,824 pixels. This discounted model does not include the clip-on keyboard.

Microsoft released the latest version of its flagship two-in-one tablet when it launched Windows 11 last month. It boasts a larger 13-inch screen from the Surface Pro 7 and a slimmer pen, while adding a few Thunderbolt 4 ports. Inside, this model has an 11th generation Core i5 CPU, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. It has just received its first price break – you can save $ 100 at Amazon on the 256 GB model. Annoyingly, the clip-on keyboard costs extra.

Upcoming Black Friday tablet deals
After scanning the major retailers’ Black Friday ads, we see upcoming offers from Staples and Target starting on Sunday, November 21st. At Staples, you’ll be able to save $ 100 on the basic 11-inch iPad Pro with 128GB of storage. We’ve seen the same discount at Amazon, but not right now, so Staples may be the way to go. At Target, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite gets $ 40 off and sells for $ 120. You can also find Amazon Fire HD tablets at half price at Target from 21 November.

The latest 11-inch iPad Pro has Apple’s M1 chip and comes with storage capacities from 128 GB to 2 TB. The basic 128 GB model costs $ 799 and will be sold for $ 699 at Staples from November 21 to November 27.
At its discounted price, this budget Android tablet is a great choice as an affordable entertainment tablet for kids. It has a small (read: child-friendly) 8.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels, which is protected by a robust metal (read: child-proof) housing. You will be able to get it for $ 120 from November 21st to November 27th at Target. Note: The keyboard case is not included.

Normally, the Amazon Fire HD 8 will sell for $ 90 for only $ 45 at Target starting November 21st. It will match the lowest price we have seen for it and we would not be surprised to see Amazon match Target’s retail price. The 8-inch tablet was updated in 2020 with a faster processor, USB-C charging, better Wi-Fi performance, 2GB of RAM (up from 1.5GB) and a bump from 16GB to 32GB of storage in the base model. Its HD screen is sharper than entry-level Fire 7, but it’s still not nearly as sharp as the iPad shows. HD 8 Plus adds wireless charging and slightly better performance thanks to 3GB of RAM.

We’ve seen this $ 140 model at Amazon for half price before, but not right now. You’ll be able to get it for Target for $ 70 starting November 21st to match its lowest price ever. Fire HD Kids Edition is a kid-friendly version of the Fire HD 8 tablet that adds a padded case, parental controls, a two-year warranty and a one-year Kids Plus subscription (formerly known as FreeTime Unlimited) – which typically costs $ 3 a month and gives you access to a lot of kid-friendly content. It’s not really suitable for distance learning, but it’s a much more affordable option than giving a toddler a complete iPad.
Expired offers we expect to return
Amazon has not identified specific Fire tablets for their Black Friday sale, but only says you will be able to “save up to 50% on select Fire HD tablets.” The older Fire HD 8 Plus sold for half of its $ 110 a few weeks ago, so we can see it return to its $ 55 price point. We would be surprised to see the newer $ 150 Fire HD 10 drop at half price, but a return to its previously reduced price of $ 100 is not out of the question.

Fire HD 8 Plus adds wireless charging and more RAM (3GB instead of 2GB), with performance that improves over the standard Fire HD 8. The tablet should charge fine on most wireless charging pads. Amazon has stated that selected Fire HD tablets will be up to 50% off for Black Friday, so we are keeping an eye on this one.

Amazon’s Fire HD 10 is the largest and most powerful tablet that the company offers, and it has recently gotten better. The 2021 revision was launched in April with more RAM, a 10% brighter screen and a slightly updated design. Like its 2019 predecessor, the new HD 10 starts at $ 150. We do not expect Amazon to lower its price by 50% for Black Friday, but a return to its previously reduced price of $ 100 is a reasonable guess.
Fire HD 10 comes packed with benefits for Prime subscribers, making it easy for members to stream and download movies, TV shows and games. The Fire tablets do not use a pure version of Android: Instead, they use Amazon’s Android-based Fire operating system, which pulls apps from the Amazon App Store. You can still get apps from Google Play, even if you have to install the store yourself – which means gaming enthusiasts have access to all of their favorite mobile games for an excellent gaming tablet experience.

If you have neither the need nor the budget for a premium Android tablet, check out this 10.3-inch model from Lenovo. The Tab M10 FHD Plus is $ 60 off the Best Buy. It has a Full HD display powered by a quad-core processor and serves a 128 GB SSD.
