The young AJ Elfalak’s three-day disappearance in Hunter Valley earlier this year was the result of “accident”, police have said.

Three-year-old AJ disappeared from his Putty home in early September.

He was miraculously found alive and mostly unharmed, drinking water from a creek bed after an intensive three-day search.

Today, police confirmed that they had completed their investigation of the incident and determined that there was no external agency involved in AJ’s disappearance.

Superintendent Tracy Chapman told that Ben Fordham at 2GB AJ had simply walked away from his home and got lost.
