UAE University participated in Global Entrepreneurship Week, which runs from 15-21. November, with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurship and spreading the culture of self-employment among young people, as well as raising their awareness of ways to understand project management and marketing. in small and large companies.

Dr. Bronwyn Wood, Head of the Department of Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship, at the College of Business and Economics, said: “At UAE University, we are eager to conduct continuous research to improve the concept of entrepreneurship among students and enable them to identify the best ways in business and entrepreneurship.We recently wrote a research paper entitled “Concepts of Dominance for Empowerment in Entrepreneurship and Their Applicability to Collective Contexts”, through which we aim to define the extent to which Western science and culture dominate research articles, reports and policies dealing with entrepreneurship.

“I think this is crucial for Emirati students, especially girls, because this way of thinking affects how they work in the fast-growing field of entrepreneurship – how it is understood and how it is defined using these Western rules and definitions. ” she added.
