9to5Mac Gift Guide: Beats Studio Buds Vs. Beats Fit Pro vs. Powerbeats Pro

With the Christmas shopping season already in full swing, one of the most popular gifts this year will undoubtedly be Beats wireless earphones, such as Beats Studio Buds, Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro.

With three different variants to choose from, it can be difficult to make the purchase decision. Read on as we compare Beats Studio Buds, Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro to complement your gifts this year.

Beats Studio Buds

Beats Studio Buds was unveiled in June. These are the first wireless earphones from Beats of the year and they are great for both iOS and Android users. Beats Studio Buds have a lightweight and compact design with a look similar to the AirPods Pro charging case

They are available in black, white and red, but do not have a stem like AirPods and AirPods Pro With a disc-like shape and an edge on the outside that has the Beats logo, they have three different replaceable silicone tips.

Beats Studio Buds are the first Beats wireless earphones to feature Active Noise Canceling and Transparency Mode. With six microphones, these earbuds are able to isolate the external sound or make it feel like you are not wearing earphones at all.

Unlike the Powerbeats Pro or other Beats headphones, the Beats Fit Pro does not have Apple’s H1 or W1 chip. This means that while you can easily pair these earphones with your iPhone and iPad, you need to pair them with each device at a time, as there is no iCloud sync support. They also lack features such as in-ear detection

Although perfect for Android users as they offer fast pairing, Beats Studio Buds also have integration with Apple’s Find My application, which means that when paired via Bluetooth, they allow you to find your lost Beats Studio Buds by using their last known location or by playing a sound.

They cost over $ 149.95, but you can find better deals here in Apple’s official Amazon store.

Beats Fit Pro

Beats Fit Pro, which was recently announced by Beats, is basically AirPods Pro, but for those who can not carry AirPods Pro.

Like Beats Studio Buds, these wireless earphones feature Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, and Apple’s H1 chip for quick pairing with Apple devices and use of the Hey Siri feature.

These earphones can achieve 6 hours of battery life with ANC or Transparency Mode turned on, or 7 hours with Adaptive EQ. Combined with the charging case, the new Beats earphones provide 27-30 hours of battery life.

While Beats Fit Pro suits better Apple users, Android users can also take advantage of fast pairing, battery level and custom controls through the Beats app. These earplugs are available in black, gray, purple, white and have interchangeable ear tips. They usually cost $ 199, but you can find better deals here in Apple’s official Amazon store.

Powerbeats Pro

Powerbeats Pro charging case opened

Beats’ first true wireless earphones were announced in 2019. Although it’s been a few years since they were unveiled, the Powerbeats Pro is still a great choice for this holiday season. With up to 9 hours of listening time per. Earphones are these perfect headphones for those who love to work out.

Powerbeats Pro uses the use of adjustable ear hooks. They wrap around the outer ear to secure the earplugs and can be adjusted so that they sit closer around your ear. Unlike the wingtips, the ear hooks rest completely on the outside of the ear instead of putting pressure on the outer part of the inner ear.

These wireless earphones feature Apple’s H1 chip, which means users can easily pair Powerbeats Pro with any Apple device and use the Hey Siri feature. Unfortunately, the wireless earphones do not have ANC or Transparency mode. Another drawback is their charging case, which is a bit bulky. Nevertheless, Powerbeats Pro is available in several colors and has been discounted a lot since they were launched for $ 249, and you can find better deals here in Apple’s official Amazon store.

If you have to choose between these three Beats wireless earphones, think about what you need. For example, Beats Studio Buds are great for Android users or those who want small wireless earphones with ANC and Transparency Mode.

On the other hand, the Beats Fit Pro is amazingly good for those who would love to have an AirPods Pro but know that Apple earphones are uncomfortable in their ears.

Last but not least, the Powerbeats Pro is the perfect choice for runners or people who really like to train and make sure the earphones never fall off. Even without ANC or Transparency mode, they offer great sound quality and huge battery life.

Of course, you also get the Beats signature sound with all these wireless earphones, which means they will all benefit from a louder bass.
