Manchester United transfer news RECAP Ole Gunnar Solskjær updates as Zidane ‘learns English’

Ferdinand sings Bellingham’s praises

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has expressed his wish that his former club not miss out on recruiting one of football’s hottest teenage sensations, Jude Bellingham.

The current Borussia Dortmund man has gone from strength to strength over the last 18 months, and has participated in major tournaments for his country, as well as gaining valuable experience in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.

Ferdinand, who is an outspoken admirer of the 18-year-old, has longed for the Reds to put their money where their mouths are and secure his services, describing him as a player who can ‘do it all’.

Ferdinand said on Vibe with Five:

”Anyone [position]. He’s so good. In the English youth teams, there were times when he played as a regular midfielder, number eight, box-to-box, and times he can go on and join the attack even more.

“He has the ability and capacity to play all the roles, he’s so good. I think for him I see him as someone who knows it all.

“There are not that many midfielders now who can attack and defend and influence the game at both ends of the pitch.”
